Three Delaware County police officers involved in a car accident and fire at the scene of accident on 95.

CHESTER, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – 3 Delaware County police officers were involved in a morning accident on Saturday, accident on 95  Which left two other victims injured.

It happened shortly after 3 a.m. it was on Interstate 95 South in Chester, Pennsylvania, near Kerlin Street.

First, emergency crews arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a fire and crash on the highway.

When they arrived at the scene, firefighters reported finding two vehicles on fire. They also informed officials they had police personnel involved.

Chester police say that officers had been conducting a road check along I-95 at the time of the crash. The officers were in the vehicle when a speeding motorist hit the rear of the three cruisers of the police that were stopped which caused the collision and igniting the fire.

Two people were inside the vehicle at the time it hit with the cruisers of police. They were taken to a hospital in the area and were later found to be healthy.

Three police cruisers one suffered minor damage, while the two others were completely destroyed. Three officers were only minorly injured but did not require treatment at the hospital.

I-95 was shut for several hours following the accident. The road was reopened.

It’s unclear as of now whether charges will be brought against the driver of the vehicle that was struck. The incident is being investigated the Pennsylvania State Police.

Officials claim that this accident serves as a reminder for everyone driving not to speed up, turn over and be aware of their surroundings when on the road.

Police are looking for the driver who ran away from the site of fatal car accident on i-95 today.

Stafford County, Va. — Police are searching for the man they believe ran away from a fatal accident on Interstate 95 in Stafford County on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly four hours after p.m. on I-95, near the 140 mile mark.

Virginia State Police says a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling north on I-95 in the right lane, when it crossed the left-hand side of the road and collided with an embankment and then flipped over.

One man a passenger in the vehicle was taken off the vehicle and later killed. Police said that they found that the driver in the Nissan fled the scene before police arrived.

He was seen last in an emerald-colored sweatshirt in the color green and dark pants.
